Auckland border worker tests positive for COVID-19 – Sydney Morning Herald

A hotel quarantine security guard in Auckland has tested positive for COVID-19, days after complaining of a sore throat.

The new case comes after New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced two-way quarantine-free travel with Australia would resume at 11.59pm Wellington time (9.59pm AEST) on Sunday, March 18.
She said specific flights into Australia could be suspended if there were local outbreaks and conceded both countries retained the right to close borders at short notice.
