The countdown has begun to the Scone Brumbies’ next home game.
The Upper Hunter’s sole Central North Rugby Union outfit will play host to the Inverell Highlanders on Saturday, June 17 in the bottom of the table clash.
The Brumbies will have a club bye this weekend which means they 21 days to prepare for what could be their first win of the season following season opening defeats to the Tamworth Pirates (31-7), Gunnedah Devils (34-12), Narrabri Blue Boars (22-0), Walcha Rams (53-31), Moree Bulls (38-15) and the Quirindi Lions (45-26).
The Inverell Highlanders, who sit above the Brumbies on percentage, are also looking for a maiden win following defeats to the Moree Bulls (50-33), Quirindi Lions (45-36), Tamworth Pirates (51-12), Gunnedah Devils (26-25) and the Narrabri Blue Boars (47-22).
MEANWHILE finals remain on the radar for the Brumbies reserve grade side.
The line-up, led by Jordan Albury, sits fifth on the table with a 2-4 record.
They will hope to add to recent wins against Gunnedah (38-24) and Walcha (39-19) when facing off against the eight placed Inverell. Scone’s women’s side also sits fifth on the table with a 1-4 record.
