Motorists are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions this week for investigation work to be carried out on the New England Highway at Muswellbrook.
Transport for NSW is carrying out survey and geotechnical investigations for the Muswellbrook Bypass.
Investigation work will start from 8pm on Thursday 28 August 2025 and is expected to be completed by 5am Friday 29 August 2025, weather permitting.
Traffic control, lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place. Motorists may experience minor delays of up to five minutes.
Wide loads greater than 3.5 metres will be temporarily stopped by traffic control to allow cones or work vehicles to be moved for safe passage.
OSOM operators are advised to contact site supervisor Andrew Waters on 0474 165 032, two days prior to arrange travel through the worksite.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
