Motorists are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions from this weekend on the New England Highway in the Whittingham area.
Essential maintenance work is being carried out on the New England Highway across the Singleton LGA, including asphalt patching in both directions.
To minimise the impact to motorists, work will be carried out from Sunday 31 August from 6pm to 6am, Sunday to Thursday. Work is expected to be completed in six shifts, weather permitting.
Lane closures with stop/slow traffic arrangements and a 40km/h speed reduction will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists. Motorists should allow an additional five minutes’ travel time.
Over Size Over Mass vehicles travelling under a permit will not be impacted during this work. Operators will be guided through the area as required.
