Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions for investigation work on the Golden Highway, around 10 kilometres west of Merriwa.
Transport for NSW is carrying out survey and geotechnical investigations to help plan for future overtaking lanes on the Golden Highway.
Work began on Monday 21 July 2025 and is expected to be completed by Friday 15 August 2025, weather permitting.
Survey work will continue from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and on Saturday 2 August. During this time, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 60km/h, and shoulder closure will be in place. Motorists may experience minor delays of up to five minutes.
Motorists are advised to drive to conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
