Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on the Golden Highway near Woodlands Road, Jerrys Plains, to carry out maintenance work.
Muswellbrook Shire Council will carry out the work on behalf of Transport for NSW which includes widening the road shoulders.
Work will be carried out from Monday 4 May to Friday 19 June, between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Some work may be undertaken on Saturdays between 8am and 1pm.
Work is expected to be completed in seven weeks, weather permitting.
Traffic control, including a single lane closure, alternating stop/slow and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and road users while the maintenance work is carried out.
Over Size and/or Over Mass operators are advised to call ahead on UHF channel 13 to be escorted through the site.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
