Dominos Muswellbrook have been breaking records during lockdown.
When this latest seven-day snap lockdown was announced on September 28 they did around 100 deliveries that night – which significantly more than any regular Tuesday night.
As the pizzas fly out of the ovens and into our homes the locally owned franchise has been very active with the Feed the Knead initiative brought in by head office.
“It’s pretty much Dominos trying to give back to the community through pizza,” Muswellbrook store assistant manager Kyle Eriksson said.
“Any worthy cause that we can find to try and help them out, with a free meal or something like that.”
They have previously supplied lunch for staff at local supermarkets as well as providing vouchers to go in the Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce and Industry care packs, and last week the covid testing clinic staff got a free feed.
“Dave (franchise owner) has noticed with the covid drive through clinic being here for the amount of weeks they have been here for, they have probably had a really tough time with a lot of people coming through, a lot of testing,” Kyle said.
“Sometimes it’s just nice for someone to get a free meal and hopefully take a bit off stress too.”
Feed the Knead takes nominations from the community for businesses and individuals / families who are doing it tough and could do with a boost, to nominate visit dominos.com.au/feed-the-knead
