Emergency services responded to a building fire at Wylies Flat near Singleton on Tuesday evening.
Members from the Singleton Fire + Rescue station, Hunter Valley Rural Fire Service, Singleton Ambulance and Hunter Valley Police were called at 6:06pm and arrived to find a hay shed fully involved with fire.
“Firefighters quickly got to work using hose lines, breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera,” Singleton firefighter Andrew Porters explained.
“It was a smooth transition from start to finish.”
Firefighters also utilised a farm tractor with front end loader bucket to break up the hay to wet it down.
NSW Ambulance remained in attendance for firefighter welfare while NSW Police are investigating the cause.
