Singleton and Muswellbrook fire fighters had their hands full on Saturday with youngsters flocking to the stations to learn all about the real Fireman Sams in our community.
Showbags and fire hats were part of the welcome before a climb over the fire truck and experiencing what it is like behind the power of the fire hose.
Local fire fighters were on hand to answer questions and give everyone the chance to check out their gear up close, a hit for young and old.
Demonstrations of rescue gear, fire extinguishers and of course turning on the lights and sirens were a hit.
This may be the last time the existing Muswellbrook station hosts the event, with the new station down the road planned to be up and running by the end of this year.
