Lewis Brown made history last week.
The exciting talent scored the winning try for Scone Public School in the 2021 PSSA Classic Shield’s Upper Hunter final held at Singleton’s Pirtek Park.
Scone Public School’s rugby league line-up, which featured PSSA State Championship trio Jake O’Brien, Harlem Lewis and Xavier Day, defeated Muswellbrook South Public School and Singleton Public School before pipping Cessnock West 24-18 in the tournament final.
“Scone Public School is extremely proud of our rugby league team,” school principal Deborah Fisher told The Hunter River Times.
“They have played well together and have had great support from their families.
“We are really fortunate to have passionate fathers like Shannon Brooks and Peter O’Brien who help with training and coaching the team.”
