Cervo’s Café owner Gina Frazer had a chance to express the challenges of small business with State Minister for Finance and Small Business Damien Tudehope during a visit to the area last week.

Mr Tudehope was on the ground to speak with various business operators and was so impressed with what Gina had to say, he mentioned her in parliament.

“Recently I visited some of those businesses with the hardworking member for Upper Hunter. One of them was Cervo’z Cafe, the owner of which, Gina Frazer, has adapted to business in the face of the pandemic in order to stay open and keep her workers employed,” Mr Tudehope told the parliament sitting.

“Gina told us that she works regularly at 3am making hundreds of bacon and egg rolls for the surrounding mines.”

She is not alone and on page six of today’s edition you can read about other small business success stories.

We might add that Mr Tudehope also commended The Hunter River Times.
