Singleton and surrounds go Maroon and White

BY ALEX TIGANI

It is time to colour the town.

After 28 years the Singleton Strikers have broken their grand final drought so let us get right behind them.

Decorate your business, decorate your home, plaster your front yard with the maroon and white of Singleton Strikers and let the club know you are behind them 100 per cent.

For many years the business community has supported our beloved Greyhounds and this time around it is time to support the Strikers.

“I have always thought that the football club was a sleeping giant and a lot of the other codes in town probably get the publicity,” club secretary Warren Gillespie explained.

“That is fair enough because they have been successful.

“But now it is our turn and we would really like to see the town get behind us and really support us so we know when we get out there on the park we are really representing the whole of Singleton.”

The Hunter River Times will be awarding the best effort by a business with a first-place prize of a complimentary half page advertisement in our next edition.
