Stay a local a no brainer

Pukara Estate is a brand that locals know, and when looking to launch a retail store for their skincare range the decision to stay local was an easy one.

At the end of September, the Earth & Grace Skincare store opened in the Muswellbrook main street, and business manager Racquel Goodchild said the locals have embraced them already.

“My husband and I live here, we live out on site, so the choice was between Denman and Muswellbrook,” she said.

“The reason I chose Muswellbrook is I think the Denman corner the tasting room caters for that, more so than the Muswellbrook side.”

The skincare range has been available since October 2017 after perfecting the aloe vera based products and through the evolution of the brand the time came to move out, so to speak.

“I was passionate about having a retail space for it and give it it’s own space,” Mrs Goodchild said.

“People still want to shop local, they want to touch, feel, smell and engage.

“I am very passionate about products that are the real deal, they have to be authentic, it has to be someone who has put some of their passion and their beliefs into it.

When looking for additional brands to feature in the store Mrs Goodchild is focused on Australian and natural products as much as she can.

There is plenty of Christmas shopping inspiration at the Bridge Street store, with Earth & Grace Skincare as well as candles, pyjamas, Turkish towels, a men’s grooming range, with carry bags and sun hats to come.
