Men’s Shed to open its doors to the public

It has been a year of many firsts and Singleton Men’s Shed is joining the list.

The Shed in Combo Lane will open its doors to the public for the first time on November 21 in a bid to showcase what goes on behind their doors.

Publicity officer John Elliott said it is an opportunity for members of the community to visit the shed, take a guided tour, see what the shed produces and the community projects that are consistently on the go.

In addition to the open day, there will be items on sale from tools, woodwork including lots of kids’ toys, artworks and bric-a-brac.

A sausage sizzle and refreshments will be on sale and there will also be freshly baked homemade biscuits to enjoy over a cuppa.

The event is from 9am to 3pm.
