Upgrade for tennis courts

Ready for a hit this summer?

Olympic Park tennis club stalwart Tony McTaggart admits he’s thrilled to see the upgrade of his club’s sixth court this week.

The Muswellbrook based tennis club president revealed that the $40,000 project had been three to four years in the making.

“We met with the contractor on Monday morning before the Monday night social competition returned,” McTaggart told The Hunter River Times.

“We have had ups and downs due to the lockdown but this has really been a reawakening this week.

“The donors to the club on a $1 per dollar basis was State Government Community Building Partnership as well as the Mt Pleasant Mine operators MACH Energy Australia.”
