Muswellbrook pair compete in Sydney
Local swimmers Zahli Woolnough and Maddison Potter represented Muswellbrook at the 2022 Senior State Age Swimming Championships.
The pair represented the Upper Hunter as a result of a covid outbreak which disabled the Singleton Amateur Swimming Club’s core group of talents from travelling to Sydney.
Muswellbrook club captain Zahli Woolnough competed in the 50m freestyle (finishing 21st with a time of 28.82) and the 100m breaststroke (20th) while Maddison Potter made her debut on the grand stage when qualifying for the 50m Backstroke.
Potter finished 40th out of 59 participants.
