Machines with one, two, or ten and more wheels and everything in between will make their way to Denman for the annual Diesel, Rust, and Dust Truck and Machinery Show.

Vehicle numbers have increased every year since the event started and organisers are hoping for that trend to continue on Saturday, April 26.

Organiser Wayne Turnbull shared there will be something for everyone, including market stalls, kids activities and Mark Ray’s chainsaw carving on top of the bikes, cars, trucks and machinery on show.

“We’re not just about history only, you can bring modern stuff, hot rods, we like to cater for everyone’s taste that we can,” he said.

“There’s something for everyone, we have couple of our regulars that bring their semi-trailers with their full live-in bodies on the back.

“It’s not one of these shows where everything’s roped off, you can’t touch, don’t talk to anyone, everyone’s very open and very, very willing to demonstrate things.”

There will be a special display to celebrate 100 years of Caterpillar, with some exhibits to mark the milestone on show.

The Diesel, Rust, and Dust Truck and Machinery Show will be at the Old Football Grounds in Denman with market stalls set up in the area, as well as food vendors and live entertainment on the day.

As it has in the past, funds raised on the day will be donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter as well as local causes like the Denman Men’s Shed who continue to support the event, and Denman Hospital.

Gates to the public will open from 10am, following a street parade down Ogilvie Street at 9am, and run through until 4.30pm. Entry is $5 per person, kids under 16 are free.

Anyone wishing to display is encouraged to arrive by 8am, with the muster for the parade from 8.15am. For more information contact Wayne on 0428 366 071, or Neal on 0409 045 264.
