Minch claims Miles Trophy at Muswellbrook

Congratulations to Upper Hunter Veterans Golf Club treasurer Bob Minch on winning the Vets’ first major golf event of 2021, the Ossie Miles Trophy, at the Muswellbrook Golf Club this afternoon.

He won with 42 stableford points on a count back.

Second was John Augustson 42, 3rd Dave Taylor 39 C/B, 4th Gary Gray 39 and 5th Ken Thornton 36. It was great to have Judy Miles at the Presentation.

There were 26 players under threatening skies. Good on the farmers for receiving some welcome rain.

Balls went to Phil Tarrant and Terry Mitchell 36, Christine Smith, Martin Byrne and Kim Robinson 33 and Rod Upton and Di Thorley 32.

The Bradman’s Trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Debbie Squires.
