Do not think for one second that the Singleton Strikers have taken all the glory this month.

There were plenty of smiles around the Bill Rose Sports Complex after Northern NSW officials declared Scone FC as the Hunter Valley Football’s Club of the Year for 2020.

“In what has been a challenging and diverse year for all, Scone FC were determined to provide football for their members and community,” a Hunter Valley spokesperson explained.

“They never lost focus or drive not matter what hurdle may have been put in front of them.”

“The venue set up and management required within their Shire to operate under the COVID restrictions came with high expectations, of which all were met and well exceeded.”

Scone officials thanked their players, volunteers and sponsors which include Dan Kelly and Keldan Automotive, Riversdale, Airspeed Charter Flights and Air Tours, Saunders Mazda, Pet Medical and Coolmore Australia.
