Many local rugby league fans have already saved the important dates for 2023.
The 2023 Denton Engineering Newcastle Rugby League fixture has been released with some important matchups already highlighted.
Reigning premiers Maitland Pickers, coached by former Greta-Branxton mentor Matt Lantry, will travel to Kurri Kurri to face off against the Bulldogs in Round 1 on Saturday, March 25.
Other opening round match ups include Cessnock vs. South Newcastle, Wyong Roos vs. Macquarie Scorpions, Central Butcher Boys vs. The Entrance Tigers and Northern Hawks vs. Western Rosellas.
After an opening round bye, Lakes United will travel to Maitland to commence their campaign against the Pickers on Saturday, April 1.
