All roads lead to Howe Park this Saturday when the Singleton Strikers play host to Toronto-Awaba.
The Upper Hunter’s premier football side has maintained its spot in the top two of the Northern League One table since February and enter this top of the table clash with a 5-0-2 winning record at first grade level.
This will also mark the first of seven straight home games for the Strikers who will not travel until they play West Wallsend in Round 16 on Sunday, June 6.
The Strikers recently attracted a strong crowd on Good Friday when celebrating a 5-0 win over the Bluebells to honour the milestones of club legend Jackson Cox (200th club game) and captain Hayden Nicol (100th game).
The line-up backed up their efforts with a high scoring 4-3 defeat against South Cardiff at Ulinga Oval on Saturday night.
The club’s reserve grade side also enter the weekend with a 3-1-2 start to the season, a vast improvement since its 1-0-19 record in 2019.
MEANWHILE the club was scheduled to play South Cardiff again on Wednesday evening for the fourth round of the Australia Cup. A result will be posted online.
