Rising stars showcase their talents

Floods and lockdowns are now a thing of the past in the Upper Hunter.

At least that seemed to be the case when viewing what appeared to be an increase in junior sports across the April school holiday period.

Here were some of action shots of our region’s next generation of sporting talents in action.

Ambrose academy tennis was a hit across the school holidays. A lot of students favourite and asked for multiple times throughout the day, skittles is a movement-based game where students have to dodge the ball.

The GWS Giants weren’t the only winners on Saturday. The Singleton Roosters’ Auskickers made their SCG debut before a crowd of 31,615 (in other words, two Singletons).

The Singleton contingent featured Charlie Oliver, Abigail Smalley, Ned Cann, Jude Cruickshanks and Phoenix Gavin.
