Rylan Gray has secured a drive with Tickford Autosport in one of their Super3 entries for 2024.

The Denman teenager will contest all five rounds in the series which kicks off at the Bathurst 500 on February 23 to 25.

“It’s been a pretty exciting two years to be honest, at the end of 2022 we were talking to the team and then they put a program together to become a junior driver,” Rylan told The Hunter River Times.

“So I’ve been doing that the past year just getting to be in the Supercar environment and learn what it would be like to drive at this top level.

“I think we impressed throughout the year and it’s good to say that we’ve signed up with Tickford to do the Super2 program from 2024 on, so I’m really looking forward to the next chapter in my racing career and I just can’t wait to get it underway.”

Rylan’s engineer for the series will be the familiar voice of Baden Charlton, with the pair having worked together for the Super3 round in Adelaide last year as well as back in 2021 when Rylan was racing Excels.

“I think you have to keep a level head, you’re with a team that’s done it for so long and they have everything, all the all the products you need, to be successful,” Rylan said when discussing how he is feeling about the step up.

“You’ve just got to not get ahead of yourself and think of it as any other race weekend and try to do the best you can.”
