One hundred years is a milestone worth celebrating, and Scone CWA sure made the most of it with a formal luncheon to cap off their centennial year.

Members were joined by guests from across the state for the event held recently at Scone RSL Club for an afternoon of entertainment and reflection.

Part of the formalities was the launch of ‘Another Ten Years’, an addition to the history of Scone CWA that was released in 2015 compiled by Anne McPhee and Carolyn Carter.

Bush poet Tim Mclouchlin had the group in stitches with his stories and poems, while students from Scone Public School performed the digeridoo with Uncle Richie Lawton and songs by Scone High School’s choir.

Trish Walker’s 20 years as a member of Scone CWA was celebrated at the luncheon, as were the contributions made by members Sue Lewis, Lyn Tout, Carolyn Carter, Anne Marsh and Anne McPhee.
