Rob Quayle, Scott McCarthy and Grant Farrar stood proud on Monday evening moments after claiming their 2020 title at the Singleton Heights Squash Club.
“This competition (our Autumn comp) started in February and had to put it on hold for four months over the Covid closures,” tournament spokesperson Carla Merrick reflected on Monday.
“But tonight we eventually finished the comp.
“It became our first ever ‘Autumn/Spring Squash comp’ as said by Bob Johnstone.”
The Singleton Heights Sports Centre will now hold a free open night next this Monday (November 9) from 6-9pm.
“Our squash facility is open to all abilities and we are hoping to recruit even more enthusiastic squash players,” she concluded.
Racquets will be free to borrow this night.
