St Joseph’s Dominate School Competition

SHARE THE STORY:

St Catherine’s had three teams in the Year 7/8 Girls competition. This one featured Lila Harris, Elke Tanzer, Millie Davy, Chelsey Chesworth (back), Chloe Jones, Molly Thomas and Ally Neyland (front).

It appears we have a new powerhouse when it comes to school netball.

St Joseph’s Lochinvar proved to be the most dominant school at the Netball NSW Gala Day held at Singleton’s Rose Point Park last week. The visitors topped all four of the high school competitions with the top two sides from each age group advancing to the regional finals to be held in Newcastle next month.

MEANWHILE Holy Spirit Kurri Kurri, Muswellbrook Public School and St Patrick’s (Knights) Cessnock all advanced in the primary school section. Holy Spirit defeated the Nulkaba Diamonds 14-4 in their final, Muswellbrook Public School swept away St Catherine’s 10-6 while St Patricks held off the Singleton Sparks 8-4.
