Veterans keep whips cracking at Denman

SHARE THE STORY:

The whips were cracking at Denman Golf Club earlier this week.

The Upper Hunter Veterans golfers stableford event was on the beautifully presented course on Tuesday, May 17.

This was due to some sneaky crows trying to pinch the players’ golf balls.

Thank you Will Coward for your expertise with the whip to scare off these pesky birds.

Brian Dever won with 32 points on countback from George Campbell (32) and Will Coward (28). The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley, was won by Terry Mitchell.

Balls went to regular visitor Steve Harris 36 and Norm Buckley and Greg Squires 27.  Thanks Greg and the volunteers for maintaining the course so well. Our prayers and best wishes are with Valmai Pascoe at this time.
