Jayden Lyttle made history on Saturday morning.
The St Lucia athlete broke the male course record at Singleton Parkrun by one second, with a time of 16:36. The previous record has stood since October 18, 2014.
This is still shy of the 16:16 Karoola Park Parkrun male record set by Keith Macpherson in April this year while the fastest time at the Bill Rose Sports Complex remains at 16:23 (recorded by Gerald MacPherson on February 6, 2021).
Singleton parkrunner Wendy Tan reached a huge milestone completing her 300th parkrun while NPL goal-keeper Stuart Plant ran his 50th parkrun only months after suffering a serious back injury.
