Cousins combine for historic win

The Singleton Roosters’ youth girls team kick started their season with a comfortable 48-point win against reigning premier Cardiff at the Pasterfield Sporting Complex.

The Singleton line-up held the home side to three forward entries in the 8.6 (54) to 1.0 (6) victory.

“The highlight of the day was seeing gun midfielder Molly Thomas set up Georgia Dunn for our teams’ opening goal,” head coach Alex Tigani explained.

“To add to the narrative, Molly and Georgia are cousins and it was the first time they represented the club together.”
