Arnold medal for D’Amico

For the second straight year a Muswellbrook Cat has returned home with a league best and fairest medal.

Luke D’Amico was announced as the winner of the Chris Arnold medal as the best player in the AFL Hunter Central Coast’s Black Diamond Shield competition.

The ball winner finished with 14 votes across 13 games to finish ahead of Gosford’s Daniel White (13), Warners Bay’s Sam Rumball (11) while Muswellbrook Cat Dominic White and Gosford Tiger Lachlan Henderson both finished in the top five with eight votes.

It made for back to back individual accolades at the Cattery after goal-kicker Elise Garlick was announced as the joint winner of the Diamond Plate Women’s league best and fairest award with Kate Booth (Wallsend West Newcastle) in 2021.
