Scone Public was not the only school to produce a line-up to contest a state final.
Earlier this month Singleton Public School’s rugby union side, coached by Singleton Bull Pippa Manton, reached the final of the Bryan Palmer Shield.
Though they were unable to hold off Newport Public in the final, held at the UNSW in Darceyville, they continued to impress with wins over Valentine, East Maitland, Dungog and Inverell in the lead up.
