Kick fear afternoon a success at Pokolbin

Lifelong friendships were formed at the Pokolbin Hall last month for the region’s first Kick Fear Afternoon.

Heart of the Hunter’s Lauren Short, one of the event’s organisers, declared the gathering as a success.

“The people that I have collaborated with were really lovely and I would love to do it again, I’m not sure when though,” she told The Hunter River Times.

Lauren Short, pictured with sister Erin, was also the event organiser.

Guest speakers included Loren Miller, Aly Chapman (Elysia Wellness Retreat), Jade Cuppitt (The Shed Fitness) and Tabatha Kattau (Sincerus Mindset Coaching).

“At the end of it, we gathered all of the guest speakers and it was really powerful message that they gave to the people listening,” she continued.

“I thought this was amazing that I bought this to the community, not everyone is aware of the access around us.

“They are all women, but I think it is amazing to bring people together, that is when magic happens.”

Proceeds from the day went toward the Kick Fear in the Butt campaign which supports RUOK?, Gidget Foundation, Friend in me, Friends with Dignity and Bears of Hope.
