BY ALEX TIGANI

You could not have asked for a better clash this Saturday afternoon.

The undefeated Valley/JPC line-up celebrated another memorable win, this time a 70-run win over Cessnock DCA powerhouse Bellbird in the top of the table clash.

After scoring his maiden century against Greta Branxton United, batsman Isaac Barry scored 91 runs.

His 2/18 off five overs also strengthened his contention of claiming a third straight SDCA player of the year title.

MEANWHILE Creeks bounced back from their opening season defeat to secure a third straight win when playing host to Wine Country.

Bayden Mullholland proved to be the star of the opening innings for the reigning SDCA first grade premier with 5/21 off 6.2 overs.
