Six medals for Riley in Brisbane
Muswellbrook South Public School student Riley Rumbel has returned from Brisbane with six reasons to smile.
The 11-year-old returned home from the Australian Track and Field Championships with six medals to his name.
He finished first in the 11 year boys Multi Class Shot Put and NSW 10-12yr boys ‘The Charging Cheetahs’ 4 x 100m Multi Class relay (Riley was the third runner).
His three silver medals for Discus, Long Jump and the 100m timed final saw him surpass the four medals he captured at state level last month.
A final bronze in the 200m timed final landed medal number six.
