The Upper Hunter was well represented at the Newcastle Gift.

Singleton’s Ethan Newman took out the 800m title with training partner Will Soden finishing second.

Fellow Singleton Strider Ella Northey also finished fourth in the 300m final.

“What a great carnival, congratulations to the organisers for their hard work,” Singleton coach Hilary Kennedy said.
