All the action will continue at Howe Park this evening.

The Hunter Valley Region Cricket Council has organised a Colts vs. Brocos game to help promote cricket in the area and show off some of the talent and facilities within our region.

A number of local and Upper Hunter players will join with some of the top young Colts players who have represented NSW Under 17s and Central North Zone over the past two months in State and National Championships.

Rising stars of Hunter Valley who will play are Jet Lee, a Maitland extremely quick bowler, two current Country Under 17 players who are just back from the Country Championships held in Adelaide, Tom Thorpe (Maitland) and Harry Scowen (Maitland and ex Upper Hunter player), will join the ranks of players from Singleton and Upper Hunter. These include Singleton’s Luke Dempster, Kye Dann, Mewa Jeetarwal, Clint Harman and the Upper Hunter’s Dom Cooper, Shawn Wilkins, Jack Pennell.

A sausage sizzle will be provided by Singleton District Junior Cricket.

Tom Lewis, Hunter Valley Region Cricket Council president, looks forward to the spectacle.

“If the weather lives up to the standard of last Saturday night at Howe Park, this will be an enjoyable night out,” he said.

The match will commence at 7pm.
