Kickstart Your Apprenticeship at Bengalla

Kickstart your career in the mining industry with a MIGAS apprenticeship hosted by Bengalla Mining Company.

Available positions are in Electrical, Plant Mechanic and this year for the first time Fitter Machinist for the CHPP

Commencing in November 2023 you will work onsite at Bengalla Mine and you will be supported by our Apprentice Coordinators.

In February 2024 you will commence the TAFE Mining and Energy Skills Program where over six months you will learn a number of varied trade and life skills before returning to site for the remainder of your apprenticeship.

Bengalla currently employs 16 apprentices across the business where they work with qualified tradespeople on Electric drive dump trucks, Excavators, Bulldozers, Graders and one of the world’s biggest draglines. There are also opportunities for our electrical and mechanical apprentices to gain valuable experience in our Coal Handling Preparation Plant.
