Muswellbrook is preparing for a massive weekend when the TV & Movie Nostalgia Festival comes to town on September 6 and 7.
Various venues around Muswellbrook will be holding a range of events, including: a TV & Movie themed Triva Night, a TV & Movie themed Karaoke Night, a 70s Saturday Night Fever Disco Night, plus Muswellbrook Cinema’s will be having special movie screenings.
In support of Lifeline Hunter, a Charity Golf Day will be held on Friday, September 6, at the Muswellbrook Golf Course. All funds raised will support Lifeline crisis support and counselling services in the Hunter region.
The Main Event will be held at the Muswellbrook Showground on Saturday, September 7, between 10am and 4pm and is a great family day out with something for all ages.
This ‘not to be missed’ spectacular will see amazing decade exhibits from the Golden Age through to the 00s. Other exhibits and activities include an Australian and Indigenous exhibit, Live Entertainment, Kids Zone, Special Attractions, Classic Cars, Roving Artists, Street Food, and Market Stalls. Bluey & Bingo will also be making a special appearance.
There is an exact replica of the Back to the Future DeLorean, The ECTO 1 from Ghostbusters, Super Heros, Disney Princesses, plus Star Wars characters.
Also, Jurassic Jack Roresome Adventures, plus Bumblebee from Transformers will be on hand to entertain the kids.
Adding to the festival vibe, visitors will be encouraged to come dressed in costume, reflecting the era’s fashions, or their favourite television show or movie character.
