Bob Moore was a regular at the Saturday Howe Park Croquet Club competition in Singleton and his passing earlier this year was a significant loss to those who had played for many years alongside him.
So, it was quite appropriate that the club dedicate a trophy in his name.
The club’s yearly voted ‘Service to the Club’ person will receive the Bob Moore Memorial Award in memory of Bob’s significant and valued service to the Croquet Club.
The trophy was crafted by Singleton Men’s Shed Brian Garland who officially presented the trophy to members Val Smith, Lois Brooker and Robyn Schmierer who paid a visit to the Men’s Shed earlier this month to accept it.
The Men’s Shed members said it was a real pleasure facilitate this annual award in memory of Bob who was also a member of Singleton Men’s Shed.
“Thanks to the ladies for their welcome visit to the shed, it was a pleasure to have them,” Singleton Men’s Shed’s John Elliot said.
