Juniors welcome this Sunday

Junior talents of all ages will make their way to the Singleton Golf Club this Sunday.

The iconic course will play host to the Jack Newton Junior Golf’s ‘Out of Iso Golf Day’ for kids of all abilities and spots are still available.

“This is one of the kids’ first opportunities to get back out after isolation,” Singleton Junior Golf president Melanie Vesper told The Hunter River Times.

“The message is for everybody to come and have a game from the early stages right up to state level kids.

“It will be a fun day overall.”

The competition will commence at 8am and entry is free for all competitors.

Furthermore, there will be entertainment, clinics, free lunch and drink included for the participants.

“This is pitched to kids in general, no matter what their age or ability,” she continued.

“The older kids can enjoy the competition aspect to the tournament as well.

“Our club was approached out of others in larger regional catchments to host this event; those clubs have had great success so now it’s our turn.”

Next month the club will also host its annual Junior Open on Sunday, August 9.
