Captain Phil takes out Hunter Shield

A total of 26 Upper Hunter veterans played for the Col Hunter Shield on Tuesday in honour of an esteemed former treasurer.

It proved to be an ideal day for golf.

Thank you to Ricky Munday and the crew for preparing the course and to Jason and Beryl in the pro-shop for processing the scores.

Captain Phil Ledgerwood won with 38 stableford points from vice captain Graham Turvey 2nd 37 C/B, Judith Miller 37 3rd, Graham Boles 36 C/B 4th and Emil Battista 5th 36.

Balls went to Ross Banks 35, Lyn Banks (who was minus one centimetre off a hole in one on the 17th hole with her ball over-lapping with the hole!) 34 and Des Partridge 34, Les Brown and President Paul Gorman 33, David Bradshaw and Terry Mitchell 32 and Ken Thornton 31.
