Cooper claims club title
The Singleton Ladies Golf Club celebrated their annual presentation night on Monday.
Debbie Cooper was declared as the club champion for 2021.
“Debbie is a long-standing member of Singleton Ladies Golf and an inspiration to our many newcomers to the club,” vice-captain Mikhaila Bunyan said.
“A well earnt and very deserving win.”
During the year the club was saddened with the passing of some valued members.
Marg O’Sullivan, Meryl Fry and Beth Taylor will be sadly missed by all.
“With covid lockdown suspending the competition for a little while, the ladies pushed through to finish off the season with some amazing scores and even a ‘Hole In One’ by Lynette Green,” she concluded.
“A huge shout out to our amazing committee of 20/21 for all your hard work.
“As we now prepare for our new year to begin, we would love to see some new local faces join us for this great game.
“If you’re interested in learning to play, come along on Fridays at 9am for nine holes of golf with the ladies.”
