Clean up in Singleton
Emergency services are attempting to clear upper John Street in Singleton after a large section of the record breaking jacaranda tree crashed onto the roadway after this afternoon’s storm.
Limbs from the jacaranda split from the main trunk and crashed onto the thoroughfare on Queen Street next to the Soapsuds Lane intersection and underneath the Hunter Crossing Bridge.
Traffic warnings are now being put in place but anyone driving in the area are warned to take care and adhere to emergency directions.
