Back to back for Butler

Branxton’s Joey Butler was all smiles on grand final day.
The 27-year-old officiated his second Newcastle Rugby League decider, adding to his previous two at Group 21 level.
“I did the 2019 grand final before this one and had the year off in 2020 and then there was no grand final in 2021 due to covid,” he told The Hunter River Times.
He said that he was set to prove himself in 2022, making this his most rewarding grand final appointment.
“We aim for the same as the players, we want to be there on grand final day after working hard all year and we review ourselves,” he added.
