Roberts to lead Aberglassyn in season 2023

Chris Roberts will wear two hats at the Aberglassyn Ants in season 2023.

The former Singleton Greyhound and Greta Branxton Colt has been confirmed as the club’s men’s coach and vice president.

“One of the reasons I decided to step up as vice president was because I was excited about the direction the club is heading,” he told The Hunter River Times.

Roberts honed his craft with the Singleton Greyhounds from under-7 to under-16 level before moving to Greta Branxton in the Colts’ inaugural season.

He also enjoyed a season with the Murrurundi Mavericks, before returning to the Colts in 2018.

He has called the Aberglassyn Ants home since 2020.

“In 2023 my goals are to help rebuild the Ants,” he concluded.

“They are a great family and community club and I am excited for what is to come.”
