Lights Out For Lady Liddell
Steven Lanesbury and Barry Moffitt were strangers when they started working at Liddell Power Station in 1979 and over the 44 years that have followed they, like many others, have become good mates.
And on Old Lady Liddell’s final day last Friday, Steven and Barry were bestowed the honour of turning off the final turbine on in the 52-year-old power station.
The Hunter River Times was there on Friday April 28, 2023, when the final turbine was turned off, and we wanted to give you an inside look.
