The Upper Hunter Veterans Golfers returned to Scone last week.

Welcome to new members Annie Woods, June Jukes and Trevor Wilson when the Vets played a stableford event at Scone Golf Club with great pin positions and tricky rough on Tuesday, January 18.

The 25 players dodged the light showers and appreciated the excellent greens and the great luncheon menu. Get well soon treasurer Bob Minch who is in the John Hunter with a very sore foot.

Ross Banks arranged our draw and processed the cards and the results were Jock O’Connor (37 points), Ross Banks (36), Christine Constable (36), Stephen McGhie (35) and Bruce Robinson (35). Balls went to Gary Gray (35), Dave Kerr (34) Tony Pearson, June Jukes and John Belfield (33).

The Bradman’s Trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley, was won by Emil Battista.
