Singleton parkrun will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, August 24, and wants a record number to come along and celebrate this massive milestone.
There were 222 people at the very first parkrun all those years ago and the organisers are hoping they can match that number or even better, surpass it.
The event will be bigger than the usual Saturday run and will come with a free sausage sizzle and cake and you can purchase your caffeine fix at the onsite coffee van..
The sausage sizzle is being donated by Glencore’s United Wambo Joint Venture and an anonymous parkrunner is providing the cake.
The Parkrun Crew encourage people to dress up in a tutu (men, women, boys and girls!) or brightly coloured clothing and ask that people arrive around 7:40am as there will be acknowledgements, etc, ready to start by 8:00 am (hopefully).
