Family History Society Singleton Inc to open Anzac Day 2022

SHARE THE STORY:

The Family History Society of Singleton will open its doors between 12.30pm and 2,30pm on Anzac Day.

It is hoped those interested will take the opportunity to peruse the Society’s countless Military records. Volunteers will be on hand to assist.

Over nine hundred in World War II enlisted from all parts of Singleton Districts. The records also include all wars.

It would seem Singleton Shire residents have put their hands up to enlist in all Wars fought since settlement and this is something we as a community can all be proud of.

You will need to be vaccinated and wear a mask in the Library. The Family History Society is situated in the Mechanics’ Institute building at 74 George Street and is also open on Monday night 6-8pm, Wednesday 12-3pm, and on the first and third Saturday afternoon from 12-3pm or by appointment at other times.

Further information can be obtained on 6572 2235.
