Lake St Clair Bike Ride Continues to Support Singleton

The Rotary Club of Singleton’s John Henderson was all smiles when reflecting on the recent activities of the club.

The most recent edition of the club’s signature event raised a total of $10,000 which was donated to Singleton disability service provider Witmore Enterprises.

“I have the pleasure of presenting a $10,000 cheque on behalf of the Rotary Club of Singleton to Witmore Enterprises,” John declared.

“This $10,000 is essentially the profit that our club made from our annual bike ride out at Lake St Clair.

“The annual bike ride started seven years ago but it didn’t happen for two years because of covid.”

Last year’s event, which was held on Saturday, August 27, attracted 140 riders combined across the three disciplines (75km, 48km and 16km).

Witmore Enterprises CEO Anita White confirmed that the funds donated will go toward a new vehicle.

“The money which has been donated very generously will go towards another vehicle for running around with our clients,” she concluded.

“Hopefully we can get that in the next couple of months.”
